This week, from Monday 10th February to Sunday 16th February, marks National Apprenticeship Week 2025. National Apprenticeship Week is a time to celebrate the value and benefit of apprenticeships, as well as hear the success stories of those who have completed theirs.
Apprenticeships not only help an individual to learn and grow whilst gaining practical skills and experience within a job role, but they also benefit employers. A successful apprenticeship can help to develop a skilled workforce, improve the quality of service, and build a culture of continuous learning within the workplace.
At Buttercross Estates, we’re excited to highlight the achievement of our team members during this important week. We are proud to share the apprenticeship journeys of Amber Johnson and Lauren Cooper.
Amber Johnson – Portfolio Manager
Amber Johnson, Portfolio Manager, has recently completed her apprenticeship CIH Level 2 certificate in Housing Practice. This qualification has equipped her with a wide range of skills and knowledge, covering topics such as housing provisions and organisations, customer service for housing, assets, repairs and maintenance, and professional development in housing. This was an incredible achievement and demonstrates Amber’s ongoing hard work and commitment. Amber has now jumped straight into her Level 3 qualification, and we are excited to watch her continue to grow and succeed.
“I have been working at Buttercross Estates for over a year now, and during the first part of my journey, I completed my apprenticeship towards my Level 2 qualification. Without the support of the amazing team I work with, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Coming to work and sharing laughs over the silly questions I needed to ask has been a fantastic part of the experience!
I’m so pleased to now be progressing onto my Level 3 qualification. A huge thank you to my colleagues, tenants, landlords, and even members of the public who have unknowingly helped me gain the knowledge I will carry with me throughout my career!”
Lauren Cooper – Social Media Marketing Apprentice
Lauren Cooper, Social Media Marketing Apprentice, is three months into her apprenticeship Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketing qualification. This course covers topics such as the principles of design and copywriting, the principles of content marketing, campaign management, and the customer experience. With an apprenticeship duration of one year and eleven months, including the End Point Assessment, Lauren will continue to learn and develop her skills and knowledge within the field of social media and marketing.
“Although I have only been working at Buttercross Estates for three months, the team has made me feel incredibly welcome. I have always been passionate about social media, marketing, and photography, and this apprenticeship, which covers all of these interests, is absolutely perfect.
I chose to pursue an apprenticeship because it offers the chance to learn within a work environment, which I believe has already been immensely beneficial within helping me to expand my skills and knowledge. Everyone at Buttercross Estates has been incredibly supportive throughout this journey, and I look forward to continuing my professional development and learning here.”
At Buttercross Estates, we believe by investing in our team members, we are both enhancing their careers, as well as strengthening the organisation as a whole. We are proud to support the team in their journeys and look forward to seeing their continued success.
